§ 16.08.010. Preliminary plats

A developer or subdivider, if he or she desires to do so, may make a pre-application towards the approval of any final plat of a subdivision by submitting to the city superintendent a preliminary plat showing thereon all of the information or data hereinafter required by Section 16.08.020 which preliminary plat, after submission to the city superintendent, shall be forwarded to the common council at their next regular meeting, together with such recommendations, suggestions, or information as the city superintendent deems advisable. At such meeting, a preliminary hearing shall be held thereon by the common council, at which time the recommendations and feelings of the common council as to the acceptability or non-acceptability of the plat shall be given, the finance officer to thereafter so advise the developer or subdivider of the conclusions of the city council.
