§ 8.12.020. Construction of buildings

  • It is unlawful to erect or remove to any of the grounds included within the territory designated in the city being the fire limits of the city, any building or addition to any building not made and built with entire outside walls composed of stone, cement, hollow tile, brick or other noncombustible material, not less than six inches thick and roofed with slate, tin, zinc, iron, cement, asbestos, magnesia, or other fire-proof roofing; nor rebuild or repair any wooden buildings which become damaged by fire, or otherwise decayed to the extent of fifty (50) percent or more of the value thereof, and no wooden building shall be repaired so as to be raised higher or to occupy a greater space than before.
