§ 6.08.090. Dog pound

Latest version.

A. There is created a Wall municipal dog pound which shall be owned and operated by the city and be under the control of the poundmaster.

B. All dogs and cats impounded shall be housed and cared for at the Wall municipal dog pound; provided however, that during emergency period, when pound facilities are inadequate, the poundmaster is authorized to make provisions for additional housing and care elsewhere.

C. All dogs and cats impounded shall be properly housed, fed, watered, and cared for and it shall be the duty of the poundmaster to make provision for all necessary facilities, food, water, vehicles and other equipment required to carry out the provisions of this chapter.
