§ 5.12.030. License application

It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to engage in business in the city as a transient merchant as defined in this chapter without first having obtained a license therefore in compliance with the provisions of this chapter. Application shall be made to the council at a meeting. Application shall be accompanied with a valid South Dakota sales tax license. Applicant shall publish at their expense in the local newspaper a notification of the day they will be selling their product for the community's awareness.
