§ 16.12.060. Sidewalks, curbs and gutters

A. Sidewalks, curbs and gutters shall be provided for in accordance with the existing ordinances within the city, unless waived by the common council at the time of the acceptance of the final plat.

B. Sidewalk grades shall be measured along the edge of the sidewalk which is nearest the curb. Where feasible, the area between the curb and sidewalk, if any, shall have a two foot minimum slope.

C. When new sidewalks meet existing sidewalks which are not to an approved grade, a reasonable transition shall be constructed by replacing the old sidewalk to the extent necessary for safe pedestrian travel.
