§ 13.08.040. Meter installation and test

  • Every customer shall provide a suitable place where a meter can be installed, and if at any time the customer desires to have the meter tested for accuracy, the same shall be done by the municipality and a fee of the testing charged therefore to the custom if the meter registers ninety-eight (98) percent (or more than ninety-eight (98) percent) accurate. If the meter registers less than ninety-eight (98) percent accurate, it shall be replaced. In the event a meter is damaged because of neglect, carelessness, or some fault of the consumer, then such meter shall be repaired or replaced at the expense of such consumer, and such cost shall be added to the next water bill rendered to such customer.
