Violations of this chapter shall be subject to a fine twenty-five dollars ($25.00),
payable to the city finance office within seventy-two (72) hours of the time the citation
was issued. If the owner or operator fails to pay the sum within the seventy-two (72)
hour period, he or she may pay the sum to the office, within the next two weeks, as
a penalty for and in full satisfaction of the violation, the sum of thirty-five dollars
($35.00). Upon failure of the owner or operator to pay either of the sums to the office
within the time periods indicated, and upon conviction of a violation of this section,
the owner or operator shall be fined, not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more
than one hundred dollars ($100.00), which fine shall be collected by the court system.
