  • A. Sidewalks. Sidewalks shall be constructed four inches thick and four feet wide in residential areas. There shall be a "dummy" or control joint cut across the sidewalk at four foot intervals to control cracking. The four foot wide sidewalks shall slope one and one-half inches toward the street.

    B. Curb and Gutter. No straight curb without an integral gutter section shall be constructed. All curb and gutter sections shall have an overall width of thirty (30) inches. The gutter section shall be six inches above the gutter flow line making a total thickness of twelve (12) inches at the back edge of the curb. All curb shall be constructed with an integral gutter section. The curb shall be a roll type with a two-inch flat top surface and sloping to the gutter flow line ten (10) inches from the back of the curb. The gutter flow line shall be one and one-half inches lower than the front edge of the gutter section.
